The Director’s Office is the administrative office of the Palace Museum. It provides assistance and coordination for the director and deputy directors to ensure smooth museum-wide operations. The primary responsibilities of this office are as follows: process both internal and external requests, coordinate museum-wide business operations; supervise and manage large-scale projects; formulate museum-wide work expectations and establish development strategies; manage the daily operations of museum-wide communications, conference preparations, confidential material, and other essential documents; manage the Museum’s media presence and cultural events; host special guests; ensure the use of quality digital multimedia and advanced security support systems; implement crisis and emergency management contingencies; handle public concerns and feedback; edit and publish The Palace Museum Annual Report (Gugong bowuyuan nianjian) and The People of the Palace Museum (Gugong ren); coordinate the drafting of museum regulations; managing daily operations of the garden of the Palace of Established Happiness (Jianfu gong) and the Censor Office of the Imperial Household Department (Yushi yamen); and coordinate the Beijing Palace Museum Cultural Heritage Conservation Foundation.
