The Palace Museum’s website (hereafter referred to as “the Site”, “our site”, or “we”), also known as the Digital Palace Museum (dpm.org.cn), is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its visitors.
We undertake to ensure that all personal information in our possession is processed in accordance with the law of the People’s Republic of China. This privacy policy only applies to data gathered on this Site (dpm.org.cn) and does not apply to any other website. The Site may contain links to other web sites. Once you leave the Site, this privacy policy will not apply. A link to the privacy policy can be found on the Museum's home page and on every page on the Site.
The data we collect depends on the nature and context of your voluntary interactions with the Site; the choices you make, including your privacy settings; and the products and features you use. The data we collect may include, and may not be limited to, information regarding your SDK, API, or JS codes and other relevant data; browser; Internet service provider; IP address; platform; timestamp; application identifier; application version; application distribution channel; independent device identifier; iOS ad identifier (IDFA); Android ad master identifier; network card (MAC) address; international mobile device identification code (IMEI); equipment model; terminal manufacturer; terminal device operating system version; session start or stop time; language location; time zone; network state (e.g., Wi-Fi); hard disk; CPU; and battery use.
II. USE OF PERSONAL DATA
We use data to continually improve our site in various ways, including adding new features or capabilities. For example, your data may be analyzed or otherwise utilized to improve the user interface or content of our site, social media, and other digital media or to inform museological, educational, cultural, or other forms of research for digital and non-digital application.

However, we use the information you provide to send e-newsletters, respond to inquiries, announce results of surveys and rewards for special activities, and improve the services provided by both the Site and the Museum in general. We place cookies on the computers of our site’s users to collect aggregate information for website traffic analysis, which includes the number of users and the number of pages viewed. III. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA
To improve our content and provide better service, we also share personal data with vendors or agents working on our behalf for the purposes described in this privacy policy. For example, companies we have hired to provide data analytical services may need to collect and access your personal data to accomplish necessary and other contractually stipulated functions. In the case that any discrepancy exists between this English translation and the Chinese version of these policies, terms, and conditions or any other legal documents issued by the Palace Museum, the Chinese version shall prevail.
