Department of Conservation Science
The Department of Conservation Science is responsible for the research, preservation, care, and reproduction of various artifacts. The primary duties of this department are as follows: protect and pass on the intangible cultural heritage of art techniques and production processes; research environmental effects on artifacts; supervise and inspect artistic and technical quality during the production process; ensure the protection of artifacts from environmental effects, pests, and natural disasters; research and conserve ancient architectural structures; research and reproduce ancient architectural technologies; and provide expert consultation on artifact conservation.
