The Department of Planning compiles and reports on all Palace Museum programs. Its principal duties are as follows:
1. to compile and report the overall plan for the protection of the Palace Museum;
2. to compile the five-year work plan of the Palace Museum;
3. to compile the annual work plan of the Palace Museum;
4. to compile specific development plans for the Palace Museum; and
5. to complete other tasks assigned by the superior units and the Palace Museum leadership.
