The North Section Management Office manages the North Section of the Palace Museum.
The office’s major duties are as follows:
1. to maintain, repair, and manage equipment, facilities, and buildings in the North Section;
2. to oversee safety across the North Section and implement systems to prevent fire, theft, explosion and destruction;
3. to formulate and implement management regulations of the North Section, and compile workplace safety and emergency plans;
4. to carry out fire prevention and safety work in the North Section; manage and maintain firefighting facilities, fire extinguishers, and high-pressure fire-fighting water pipes; and manage all work on fire prevention, fire control, firefighting, and rescue;
5. to ensure the property company fulfills the contract;
6. to issue licenses for construction workers and conduct security checks on construction vehicles;
7. to conduct workplace safety inspection on construction sites of the North Section;
8. to manage the warehouses in the North Section and implement related management regulations; and
9. to complete other tasks assigned by the superior units and the Palace Museum leadership.
