The Department of Archaeology leads all archaeological studies of ancient ceramics, jade ware, bronzeware, architecture, works of fine arts, and religion. The department organizes and participates in major archaeological excavation projects at home and abroad; and protects and preserves excavated relics and artifacts. It also publicizes the research findings of its archaeological excavations and strengthens cooperation with domestic and foreign academic institutions.
