Conservation Standards Research Institute
The Conservation Standards Research Institute is responsible for researching standardization and setting and revising standards in the field of conservation.
The institute’s primary tasks are as follows:
1.Researching academic frameworks, terminology and systems of standards for cultural heritage protection.
2.Setting, revising and publicizing standards within the Palace Museum.
3.Promoting international standardization as well as exchanges and cooperation on conservation standards.
4.Researching key technologies for examining and analyzing artefacts.
5.Researching standardization of specialized conservation equipment.
