Department of Paintings and Calligraphy
The Department of Painting and Calligraphy is responsible for the authentication, purchase, preservation, management, research, and exhibition of the collection’s paintings, calligraphic manuscripts, stele and tablet rubbings, and model books. The primary duties of the department are as follows: implement comprehensive preservation and authentication of collection pieces; develop and maintain curatorial operations and exhibitions for pieces in the collection; coordinate with domestic and foreign entities for exhibitions within the Museum; manage research and publications; and develop and organize conferences, lectures, and classes on academic topics.
