Department of Objects and Decorative Arts
The Department of Objects and Decorative Arts is responsible for the preservation of ceramics, bronzes, handicrafts, sculptures, and other ancient objects in the Museum’s collection. It is also responsible for the authentication and purchase of related artwork. The primary duties of the department are as follows: implement comprehensive preservation and authentication of collection pieces; develop and maintain curatorial operations and permanent and special exhibitions for pieces in the collection; coordinate with domestic and foreign entities for exhibitions within the Museum; manage research and publications; and develop and organize conferences, lectures, and classes on academic topics.
