The Splendor of the White Eagle: Arts and Power at the Saxon-Polish Court (1670-1763)
Inaugurated on 8 April 2009 at the tower gallery of the Meridian Gate (Wu men) in the Palace Museum, the exhibition features superb pieces from the collections of and objects used by the Saxon court in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. A face-to-face encounter with these extraordinary treasures of European art will give the visitor a chance to understand German history and culture of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
