During the time period from 2014 through 2016, the Palace Museum conducted a thorough enumeration and inventory of selected categories from its permanent collections. Registering, cataloging, visual documenting, and academic researches were conducted. Now with a number of marked results achieved, we are pleased to present you an exhibition dedicated to our latest finds and scholarly discoveries.
The exhibition categories artifacts and relics in seven sections: oracle bones, old photos dated to the Qing dynasty (1644-1911), textile, heritage architecture, calligraphic works, ceramics, and conservation science, comprehensively and systematically showcasing the productive inventory. Exhibits are selected to reflect the craftsmanship and aesthetic tastes of various art types in every historical period of China. They are considered carriers of the essentil Chinese culture.
